Kat's debut album was released on 15 September 2008. The money to record Dirty Birds was raised by Kat through her internet fanbase, gig audiences, mailing list and word of mouth. The dirty birds of the title manifest themselves in many forms pigeons and prostitutes, black crows and bomber jets. There are celebrations and requiems, reprimands, to-do lists and laments for little brothers marching off to war. |
